When importing a bear, hunters must comply with the US Fish and Wildlife Service regulations by completing Form 3-177. This exportation is strictly permitted for the hunter who must attach their hunting license to the cooler that will contain the bear. The cooler must be clearly labeled with the hunter's name, address, and license information, as well as details regarding its contents. Proper labeling ensures adherence to regulations and facilitates a smooth process for both import and export.

Licensing

Create your HAL account by following the provided link, and we will assist you in obtaining your bear tag for $240 CAD.

In addition, please purchase a fishing licenses to suit your needs: choose a 3-day license for $57 CAD or opt for the annual license at $115 CAD. Good news for families—children aged 16 and under can fish free of charge!

Getting TO BBO

Begin your journey to Black Bay Outfitters by booking a flight to either Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, or Edmonton, Alberta. If you choose to arrive in Saskatoon, be prepared for a scenic 4-hour road trip, encompassing approximately 320 miles of picturesque landscapes. Alternatively, if you land in Edmonton, your drive will last around 6 hours, covering a distance of about 400 miles, with stunning views along the way. We recommend rending a car at your airport of choice.

Once you reach your destination, we will greet you with a boat pickup at Isle-a-la-Crosse, a service included in your pricing. For those seeking a more adventurous start, we also offer floatplane flights from Buffalo Narrows for a nominal fee of around $300 per person, allowing you to experience the breathtaking aerial views of the region as you arrive at Black Bay Outfitters.
